One of the best Phuket scuba diving day trips offered is the trip that includes Shark Point Phuket, The King Cruiser and Koh Doc Mai. Anemone reef is another excellent site also available together with The King Cruiser and Koh Doc Mai. When the visibility is rocking, all these sites are world class!
Phuket scuba diving day trips are excellent and are available all year round. The best dive sites around Racha Yai are located on the eastern coast of the island. Occasionally, during the peak season months from November to February, these sites are inaccessible if the wind blows too hard from the east. From March to October, when the wind comes from the west, the east coast dive sites are available everyday. If the east coast Racha Yai sites are not available, then dive sites on the north coast offer a good alternative and have some good and varied scuba diving.
Racha Noi dive sites are definitely worth a visit or two. The visibility here is usually very good and sometimes reaches in excess of forty meters. Racha Noi has a certain Similans feel to it with the sloping white sandy bottom peppered with coral reefs and bommies covered with Glass Fish. The sites on the east coast are better than the sites on the west coast. Manta Rays are frequently spotted all around Racha Noi. Expect to see Harlequin Ghost Pipe Fish, Turtles, Batfish, Sting Rays, Moray Eels, plenty of Lionfish, Seahorses and even the odd Manta and Whaleshark!
