The Similans liveaboard Manta Queen fleet offer what are possibly the cheapest Similan Island Liveaboards in the Andaman Sea. Manta Queen I accommodates her guests in spacious air-conditioned cabins, that although basic, are still very comfortable. There is a large saloon and a sun deck, where guests can relax in between dives. Of course, the saloon is equipped with a TV and DVD player, as well as a stereo where guests can watch movies or plug in their iPods. Food is a mixture of Thai and Western dishes and reports from the boat are good! These boats are based in Khao Lak. Transfers to and from Phuket can be arranged for 250 THB each way. The price for the Manta Queen 1 Thailand liveaboard includes a full set of equipment. If guests have their own equipment they receive a 1,600 THB discount from the trip price.
Schedules, Prices & Itinerary Manta Queen 1 offers her guests a tried and tested four-day and four-night schedule. Fifteen great dives in the Similan Islands, as well as at breath taking dive sites at Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and the famous Richelieu Rock.
Return transfers from Phuket to Khao Lak where the boat departs from can be arranged for 250 THB each way, and should be arranged with us at time of booking. The pick-up times in Phuket start at around 3:30pm on departure day. Airport transfers are scheduled for 6:00pm. Transfers will be to the Manta Queen offices in Khao Lak just north of Phuket. The boat will depart from Tap Lamu port very close to Khao Lak. If guests don't wish to use the transfer, they need to check in at the dive centre at Khao Lak between 6:30pm and 7:00pm.
Departure Day: Guests will board the Manta Queen 1 Similans liveaboard at around 8:00pm and will have time to assemble their dive equipment, receive a comprehensive boat briefing and eat some dinner. The boat departs for the Similan Islands at around 9:00pm and cruises overnight while the guests relax onboard and get some sleep. Day 1: Wake up calls we be early at around 6:30am and guests can eat a light breakfast before the first dive at 7:30am. There will be three day dives and one night dive in the Similan Islands. Guests are welcome to visit the islands between dives for some fun and sightseeing. Day 2: Two more dives in the Similan Islands and a couple of dives at Koh Bon (Manta Rays hopefully). Day 3: Possibly a dive in the Surin Islands, and then three dives at Richelieu Rock, one of the best dive sites in Thailand. Day 4: Two more dives at Koh Bon, with a final dive at the Boonsung Wreck before heading east back to Khao Lak where guests disembark at around 3:30pm and transfer back to their Phuket or Khao Lak hotels.

Notes Transfers (250 THB each way if required) start in the afternoon of the departure from Phuket, and work their way up to Khao Lak. For example, pick-ups in Patong Beach in Phuket hare scheduled from 4:10pm to 4:50pm, and the airport pick up at 6:00pm to 6:30pm. Guests will stop off at the office in Khao Lak to complete any paper work and pay outstanding balances, before heading to the boat moored close by at the pier in Tab Lamu. The boat departs for Similans at around 9:00pm for an overnight journey to the Similans. The boat returns to the pier four nights later at around 3:30pm, and guests can transfer back to their Khao Lak, or Phuket hotels.
