MV Scubacat Similans Thailand

MV Scuba Cat is a spacious, specially designed catamaran that is based in the Similan Islands, Thailand. It is a stable dive platform that offers a lot more space than typical liveaboards. On the top deck there's a huge sundeck with panoramic views, and sun loungers and hammocks where guests can relax in between dives. The main deck has the dive platform at the aft end and there is more than enough space even when the boat is running at maximum capacity. There is an indoor and an outdoor dining area where guests can choose where to eat. Cabins are basic but comfortable and each bunk has a personal fan, reading light and power points to charge batteries or run laptops.

The crew onboard the MV Scuba Cat are friendly as well as professional. Nothing is too much trouble and the service is always with a smile. The food is also excellent, with a mixture of Western and Thai cuisine served buffet style. Most Similans operators offer a maximum of four dives a day, on the MV Scuba Cat there are five dives per day, including one night dive. There is also usually a professional videographer / photographer onboard, should guests wish to take a DVD or some photographs of their dive trip home to show their family and friends.

The MV Scuba Cat comes highly recommended. Even if the seas produce a slight swell the vessel is adequately stable. It should also be noted that the boat will stay only in the Similan Islands and moors up in calm bays every evening. Seasickness on this boat should not be an issue. It is a well-run operation and we know our guests will always return again and again.
