Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, Richelieu Rock and Southern Islands
Max Guests 14
Trip Duration 3 - 9 Nights
Similan Islands and Myanmar scuba diving liveaboard trips on MV Nautica are always one of the top choices for discerning scuba divers. She was launched not long ago in 2005 and the design and build was well thought out. Just look at the photos on this page to see how lovely she looks both inside and out. There is an extremely tasteful outdoor dining area that is kept in tip-top condition, and the selection of cabins are also designed and decorated to be warm and welcoming after a hard days scuba diving. A maximum of only 12 passengers are carried at any one time to ensure guests comfort.
MV Nautica offers liveaboard dive trips to the Similan Islands, Surin Islands as well as Burma, these days known as Myanmar. She was designed and built to IMO standards. There are three cabin standards to choose from, including a master cabin with a queen size double bed, four standard cabins with either twin beds or a double bed and a budget cabin with twin bunk beds. All cabins have ensuite bathrooms apart from the bunk bed cabin. The dive deck is superbly designed and is an uncluttered. Coupled with this are all the facilities you'd expect from a top quality boat like dive deck showers and camera rinse tanks.
Meals are served three times a day in buffet style and include mouth watering Thai and European dishes. Soft drinks are free of charge and there are also snacks and fruit available all day long. Relax between dives on the sun deck or in other secluded areas on the boat. There is an audio-visual entertainment system, as well as a library of DVDs and books at the open-air dining and party area on the upper deck.
Schedules, Prices & Itineraries
The MV Nautica has a total of six great schedules to choose from for the 2012-2013 Season! There are three schedules that cover the Similan Islands including dive sites like Koh Bon where the Manta Rays are, Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock which is arguably the best dive site in Thailand. There are also two fantastic schedules that cover the Similans, the sites mentioned above, as well as the Southern Islands of Hin Daeng/Hin Muang, Koh Ha, Phi Phi and Racha! Finally there is the Southern Island Itinerary which just covers the Southern Islands mentioned above. Please read on for schedules, prices and itineraries below........
Similan and Surin Islands (4 Days/4 Nights, 5 Days/5 Nights or 6 Days/6 Nights)
Hotel or airport pick-ups will be arranged for around 6pm to 7pm and guests will be transferred to the MV Nautica, which will be moored up at Tap Lamu Harbour - just to the North of Phuket. MV Nautica will depart for the Similan Islands at around 10pm and guests will enjoy a late diner on the outbound cruise.
All of these trips will be spent cruising around the Similan Islands enjoying some of the best dive sites in the world. Of course Richelieu Rock will be the highlight, as this is where Whalesharks can be sighted in Thailand. Apart from Whalesharks, Richelieu Rock is a world-class dive site brimming with diversity and marine life, some of which is native to this one small dive site. Koh Tachai will also be on the itinerary, where it is also possible to encounter Whalesharks as well as Manta Rays. Koh Bon is another dive site, close to the Similan Islands that always has scuba divers salivating in anticipation before their arrival there. Manta Rays come here for both to feed and for a clean, sometimes hovering over coral bommies while cleaner fish rid them of unwanted parasites. The Similan Islands offer a wealth of exciting places to scuba dive. Elephant Head Rock, North Point, West of Eden (as North of Eden is presently closed!), Boulder City, Deep Six - to name but a few. Whether you choose the four, five or sixnight trip, it's sure to be fantastic! The Similan Islands have been voted one of the world's top ten destinations in the world and with a high class boat like MV Nautica they are made even better!
