Dolphin Queen Similans liveaboard is one of the cheapest Similan liveaboards in Thailand. Dolphin Queen is a budget Thailand liveaboard, which offers excellent value for money. Although considered an economy Similans liveaboard, Dolphin Queen is surprisingly large and spacious. The main deck on Dolphin Queen has two double bed cabins, one twin share bunk bed cabin and three quad shared (four person) cabins, with each bed fitted with a personal curtain for a little privacy.

The Dolphin Queen liveaboard has a further two double bed cabins on her upper deck. All cabins use shared bathrooms, have air-conditioning and all have 220v electrical sockets - so guests can charge their gadgets. The covered outside dining area is large enough to accommodate all guests - even when the boat is full.  There is also a sun deck where guests can relax in between dives.

Dolphin Queen Thailand liveaboard offers a four-day and four night trip to the Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and the famous Richelieu Rock - where if you are very lucky Whalesharks can sometimes be spotted cruising up and down the reef.  She also operates a seven days and six nights Myanmar liveaboard, which includes diving at the Mergui Archipelago and Black Rock. The catering on Dolphin Queen Similans liveaboard is a mixture of both Western and Thai food and special diets can be catered for with advanced warning.

There is a TV and DVD player, as well as a sound system, where guests can watch a movie or two, or listen to some music. There is also a library of marine books to help divers identify critters from their dives. Fins, masks and wetsuits are available to use at no cost, while both BCD's and regulators are available at 250 Thai Baht per item per day. Dolphin Queen departs and returns from the pier just a few minutes from Khao Lak, which is about ninety minutes North of Phuket. Transfers are not included - so guests will need to make their own arrangements to meet at the dive centre in Khao Lak. A taxi from Patong in Phuket will cost around 2,500 Thai Baht, or there are several buses from about 150 Thai Baht. It should also be mentioned that groups are kept small with a maximum of four guests for every experienced dive guide.
